This policy explains what Askhere collects, how we use it, and how teachers can contact us about privacy questions.

What Askhere does
Askhere helps teachers upload class materials and share a student chat link that answers questions from those materials. We provide teacher accounts, billing, document storage, and the student chat experience.
Information we collect
Teacher account information, such as name, email address, and sign-in details.
Class setup information, such as class names, descriptions, uploaded files, and pasted materials.
Student chat submissions and assistant responses that are used to provide the service, enforce limits, and improve reliability.
Billing information handled through Stripe, including subscription status and customer identifiers.
Technical usage information, such as IP-based rate limiting signals, browser data, and analytics needed to keep the product secure and working well.
How we use information
To create and manage teacher accounts and classes.
To process uploaded materials and generate class-specific answers for students.
To operate subscriptions, invoices, and account limits.
To prevent abuse, investigate failures, and maintain product security.
To communicate about support requests, account changes, or service updates.
Google user data and sign-in
If a teacher signs in with Google, Askhere uses basic Google account information needed to authenticate the teacher and create or maintain their Askhere profile. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Third-party services
Supabase is used for authentication, database storage, and file storage.
Stripe is used for billing and subscription management.
DeepSeek and OpenRouter are used to generate and retrieve class-specific AI responses.
Vercel is used for hosting, analytics, and speed monitoring.
Data retention and control
We retain teacher account data, uploaded materials, and class configuration for as long as the account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Teachers can remove class materials or delete classes from the dashboard. Additional account privacy requests can be sent to our support contact below.
